In Stiply, it is possible to forward a signing request to someone else, so that the other person can sign the document. You can use the forwarding feature for this purpose. The signer can then forward the document for signing to someone else. This can be useful in situations where, for example, a purchaser needs to send a document for signing to their director. The original signer can no longer sign the document at that point but can still read it as a CC. The forward button looks like this:
Note: This function should not be used if the original signer intends to sign the document themselves. It should only be used if someone else will need to sign the document.
There are several advantages to using the forwarding feature:
- When using the forwarding feature, you ensure that the new signer receives the signed documents, and you can choose whether you want to receive the signed documents and proof documents yourself. If, for example, you manually forward the email with the signing request, only the original signer will receive the signed and proof documents.
- Authentication is not a problem. For instance, if SMS authentication is being used, you can simply enter the new signer's phone number when forwarding. This allows the new signer to receive an SMS code for verification as well.
