Receiving Documents Back from Your Client

Sometimes, sending a document to be signed isn’t the only thing you need. You might also need something back from your client, like a passport, driver’s licence, or another supporting document. With Stiply, you can easily request these documents as part of the signing process. This saves time and keeps everything in one place.

Why use this feature?

  • Faster process: No need for back-and-forth emails.
  • Streamlined collaboration: Everything happens within one secure workflow.

How to request documents back

  1. Start a new sign request as you normally would.
  2. While adding a signer, click the three dots next to their name.
  3. Select "Request attachment".
  4. Enter:
    • A description of the document (e.g. "Please upload a copy of your passport").
    • A document name (e.g. "Passport" or "Driver's licence").

That’s it! The signer will be asked to upload the document as part of completing their sign request.

Important note

Stiply does not verify the content or authenticity of the uploaded documents. Make sure to review the documents you receive carefully.
