Radio buttons in Stiply let signers select exactly one option from a group, ensuring choices are clear and mutually exclusive.
1. What are radio buttons?
Radio buttons are interactive elements used in documents to allow a single choice among multiple options. They help you enforce one selection per group.
2. When to use radio buttons?
- When a signer must choose one option and cannot select multiple
- For questions with required answers like “Yes/No” or multiple-choice
- To streamline form input and reduce errors
3. How to add radio buttons
- Drag a radio button to the desired location on the document.
- Click the radio button and assign a selection name (group identifier).
- Add a second radio button nearby.
- Click the second button and select the same selection name as the first.
- Continue adding buttons to the group as needed.
4. How they work
Once placed, signers can only choose one button per group. Selecting another automatically deselects the previous one.
5. Best practices
- Use clear selection names to group related options, like; "Gender", "Options" or "Package".
- Label buttons clearly so signers understand each option.
- Group related buttons close together visually for better experience.
Important Notes
- Radio buttons require at least two options in the same group.
- Every button in a group needs the exact same selection name.
- They are different from checkboxes, which allow multiple selections.
