Parallel signing in Stiply

Overview

Parallel signing in Stiply allows multiple signers to sign the same document at the same time. This speeds up the signing process and removes unnecessary waiting, if sequential signing is not necessary.

1. What is Parallel Signing?

Parallel signing means all signers receive and sign the document simultaneously, rather than waiting for previous signers to complete the process.

  • Sequential signing: Each signer waits for the prior signer to finish.
  • Parallel signing: All signers sign independently, on the same document.
  • Benefit: Saves time when order is not required.

2. Why Use Parallel Signing?

  • Faster turnaround: No signer has to wait.
  • Efficiency: Ideal for team agreements, contracts needing multiple approvals, and urgent documents.

3. How It Works

  1. Create a sign request in Stiply as usual.
  2. Add all desired signers.
  3. Click the button labeled "Sign in random order" to enable parallel signing.
  4. Send the request—everyone will receive it at the same time.

Note: Parallel signing is not enabled by default; you must activate it per request.

4. Use Cases

  • Internal approvals (e.g. HR or finance team)
  • Partnership agreements with multiple signers
  • Documents with tight timelines where signer order doesn't matter

Important

Parallel signing must be activated manually each time. It is ideal when the order of signing is not important and can greatly accelerate multi-signer workflows.
